PHOTOGRAPHY SECTION – Categories are: BLACK & WHITE and COLOR (no distinction will be made from 35mm to digital work) FINE ARTS SECTION – Categories are: ACRYLICS: water based plastic resin paints, MIXED MEDIUMS: using two or more different types of mediums in one work, GRAPHICS: pen & ink, graphite pencil, colored pencil and computed generated works, OILS: pigment paint used with oil base, PASTELS: oil pastel, chalk or crayon, WATERCOLOR: pigment paint with water base, SCULPTURE: any type of 3-dimentional work. CLASS – The ”Subject” of entries will put into classifications of “Like” subjects and include Abstract, Animal, Cityscape, Landscape, Portraiture, Still Life, and Other for both Photography and Fine Arts Sections. ARTIST’S STATUS – YOUTH: any artwork entered by someone up to 16 years of age, AMATEUR: Any artwork done as a hobby or pastime and not sold professionally, ADVANCED AMATEUR: Those exhibitors whose skills and training approach the level of professional; however they are not practicing professionals and do not engage in sales of work on a regular basis, PROFESSIONAL: Their artwork is sold to the public on a regular bases either as a sole source of their livelihood or not. NOTE: All work must adhere to themes that can be viewed by the general public. Works that are questionable in nature will not be accepted. The exhibit will be open daily from Thursday, August 16 through Sunday, August 19. You will be able to PICK UP YOUR ARTWORK FROM 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. COURTHOUSE
GALLERY EXHIBIT: All sectional winners and some selected blue
ribbon winners will be invited to exhibit their work at the Lyon
County CourtHouse Gallery located in the Administrative Complex at
27 South Main Street in Yerington from August 20 to September 28.
Look for an invitation post card placed on your work the last day of
the fair. The CourtHouse Gallery staff will be set up that day at
the building to collect and sign-in your artwork. PHOTO
